When's The Last Time?

How long has it been since anyone remembers hearing a sonic boom? I haven't heard one in like 20 years. That's weird.

Been A While

Yeah, I know I don't post much. I'm kinda lame. It's not that there's nothing going on, quite the contrary. I'm just lazy about this.

Anyway, I got my ticket for Sasquatch! Festival yesterday and I am so stoked! I'm going Sunday, as that is the best line-up and I can only afford one day. Besides, the only artists I would like to see on Sat. night are Arcade Fire(who I've already seen and they were awesome!) and Bjork. She's so crazy, maybe she'll beat someone down during her set!

But Sunday is the big one. Beastie Boys headlining with the likes of Interpol, Spoon, Tokyo Police Club, The Dandy Warhols, and perhaps best of all, BAD BRAINS!!!!! That is going to be kick ass. My family apparently doesn't understand how great Bad Brains are. O well.

In other news myself and the girl have been working backstage at ACT's The Snow Queen. It's not bad. Kinda fun.

That's all for today.

Favorites

So I was lisening to the radio at work the other day, and one of the douchebag DJ's said that some shitty song was his all time favorite song. I mean it was lousy. But it got me thinking about what my all time song is. After much deliberation I came up with my all time favorite top ten.

So here they are, in order:
1.Whisper To A Scream - The Icicle Works
2.Just Like Honey - The Jesus & Mary Chain
3.You Are The Everything - R.E.M.
4.Bad - U2
5.Summertime Rolls - Jane's Addiction
6.Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Frankie Valli
7.Randy Described Eternity - Built To Spill
8.Time (Clock Of The Heart) - Culture Club
9.Indifference - Pearl Jam
10. I Am Trying To Break Your Heart - Wilco

So there you have it. The songs that make me happy on the inside and out when I hear them. What is it about a particular song that makes your brain kick in and fall in love with it? Some of you will know some of these tunes and say, "Hey I love that song too, but that one really stinks!". Strange how that works, huh?

So what are your favorite songs, hmmm?

Just Stuff

I just want to say hi to everybody. So, hi.

Chel and I just heard about this new artist on NPR the Other morning, Jonathan Coulton, and you should check him out as he is awesome.

If you haven't looked in my sidebar at my Enjoying section, you should take a look at "Superman Is A Dick" link, as it will make you laugh.

That is all for today.

Are You Even Surprised?/Old News

I know this is old news, but some may not have heard this. On the day before the elections last month, I heard our current president say about getting out of this war, "If we leave Iraq now, the terrorists get ALL THE OIL." I thought we were there to bring freedom and democracy to the people of Iraq. I can't believe that our government would go to war for oil! This was on NPR and Chelee and I heard it and were like, WTF!?! I wonder if he thought that would help republicans get re-elected. They sure seem to have buried that good, because I haven't heard anything else about it and nobody else seems to have heard it. That's sure strange.

Where You Been?

Holy moly! it's been a long time . I've been a real lazy ass in general. Not really, I've been pretty busy and just haven't taken the time to catch up.

Me and the big kid worked on ACT's Cinderella. That was fun. We've been to a few really good dinner parties at various peoples homes. Those were fun. Not much else to report. See, I've been boring. Discovered a few good bands (Belle & Sebastian, Spoon). Seen a few movies here and there. Everyone should see An Inconvenient Truth. It makes you think. It makes you angry. Well it did me anyway. Very good.

Anyhow that's it for now. I will try to update more often. Until then...
